Am I the only one who thinks Star Trek Discovery could have avoided a lot of criticism if they'd just made it a sequel? The Klingons 2.0 could have been a new race, and all the hate about a prequel using more advanced technology would be gone too.

Great article that really speaks to me. It can be really frustrating with all the learned helplessness other developers can have. I've never understood people who 9-5 and don't really contribute even during that time.

Not a huge fan of ST: Voyager, but I appreciate Distant Origin more and more. Anyone who has ever tried to argue an unpopular opinion that they knew was true should appreciate it.

Just finished ST: Discovery 🖖 and I thought it was really good. It was really different from the other shows but good different.

Just started watching discovery. 2 episodes in, some small issues but overall good so far

It would be interesting to see a federation of more diverse species. What I mean by this is species that are alien enough that they can't live and work together on the same ships. Would it potentially look more like the Xindi did in Enterprise for example?

"Star Trek Generations" question/plot hole. If Picard and Soren both get sent into the nexus and then Picard chooses to leave, isn't Soren still there? In the same way that Guinan is still kind of stuck in it.

Just watched 'Star Trek: The motion picture(1979)' for the first time as an adult. Better than I remember but it really needed the crew to be more involved.
