What exactly was Gene's grudge against the Irish, anyway?

I can't quite express exactly how much I loathe Rick Berman. I'm so glad he left Trek. Between his cowardice about non-heteronormative content, his tendency to sexually harass every female actor in site (it's his ass-grabbing fault Terry Farrell left DS9), and his insistence on non-serialization ruining many great story ideas, he's a piece of shit and I'm glad he's not actively ruining the franchise anymore.

Hope I'm not flooding the feed too much. I'm really happy to show off my Star Trek ideas is all :)

Vulcan sprites. My design of Vulcans emphasizes them as tall and wiry; their sinewy strength is a result of evolving on a planet with higher gravity than our own. Also I wanted to emphasize the green blood and skin tones.

The Vulcan Command Fleet uniforms emphasize functionality and uniformity over style. They are designed to resist extremes of pressure and temperature.

Vulcan civilians, as a result of Vulcan's high temperatures, tend to wear loose, flowing clothes with intricate patterning.

Sprites of Klingon Warriors, one of whom is wielding a Bat'leth. While much of my redesign can't be shown in a tiny sprite, I wanted to emphasize the skin tones being more alien. In addition, my redesign of Klingon gives them a secondary set of eyes set under the cheek bones (redundant organs and all that).

I wanted the uniforms to incorporate the heavier armor of later designs, hence the gauntlets and heavy boots, but still capture the style of TOS's Klingons.

You know what sucks? Discovery redesigned Klingons A LOT like I did before the show had even been announced. So now I'll surely get to deal with accusations of ripping it off. :(

Sorry for any double posts; Mastalab is being wonky.

Anyone looking for good, funny Trek podcasts, check out The Post Atomic Horror, created by @aalgar and @Robotmatt. Maybe jump in at TNG and go back later; they grew a lot. Two friends (& sometimes a guest) watch every episode and make jokes and observations. It's really good stuff and deserves a bigger audience!

Hi. I'm Mitch. I dig Star Trek. DS9 is the best Star Trek that ever Star Trek'd.

I like alternate reality ideas (except for the Mirror Universe because GOD did they wear that one out) and tend to re-design/re-imagine Trek stuff for fun.

Hey, speaking of, since you guys might actually find this interesting, here are some Starfleet Combadges I designed!
