Not sure if this is allowed by the federation: My private pear-to-pear network! 😋
I heard @starbreaker refer to the federated timeline as "drinking from the firehose" and this is exactly what came to mind:
“So what do you think about the late winter?”
Well, It’s getting harder to deer these days. I’ve been deering for three years now and hope to keep deering for the next ten. Winter is tough deering anyway
“Thank you, deer. Back to you, April”
Fiddled around with this a bunch so just gonna plop it here and call it done! I ended up undoing most of the digital changes I made to it, so there's just a little bit of tweaking.
Grep will now be implemented with Elastic search. Also the whole Elastic stack will be embedded into the Linux kernel, so you can mine your own data for maximum efficiency!
keyservers should scrape keybase and automatically mark any pgp keys on it as untrusted
Revamped one of my oldest designs! Probably been done a million times already but I love it haha.
'In her house at Sanriotown, dead Hello Cthulhu waits dreaming'
Gonna make some charms, badges and things with this :) and maybe re-do my eldritch designs of other Sanrio characters too!

Aftertile, first stage 2016 (top) vs 2018 (bottom) #gamedev #mastogames
yes of course I know what a network stack is
I just saw a few toots about being able to add 'badges' / 'detail rows' to your profile being merged into the Mastodon code base.
It's a good idea and a common thing 'seen' on other networks.
HOWEVER
That means programmers can scrape that data easier.
Having a loud and proud badge is good, but keep in mind some nefarious types can scrape that data into a database of their own and... now you're being profiled.
This software isn't a panacea, you still need to be diligent

System76 (Linux PC makers) to move manufacturing to the United States from China!
Last year it released its homegrown Linux, Pop!_OS.
In March, System76 founder Carl Richell told about the company's plans to locate its computer manufacturing factory in Denver.
Open source keeps spreading, more folks find out.
It's a great way to solve problems... logistical, political, environmental, social, communal, etc?
