Pike quote (DSC S2:E2 "New Eden"), speaking to Burnham
"At the very least, this new information creates more context. And context can alter our perspective"
This is a recurring DSC subject.
Lorca quote (DSC S1:E3 "Context is for Kings"), speaking to Burnham
"Universal law is for lackeys; context is for kings"
Q: Do leaders need to be willing to break the rules at the right moment for the right reason?-- https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Context_Is_for_Kings_(episode); and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Context_Is_for_Kings

@alexis Thanks for the feedback. I think I understand your point; but in fact, I made no assumptions here.
My open-ended question was a paraphrase from Memory Alpha's overview of DSC S1:E3 "Context for Kings," Act III, paragraph 5
Could it be that "leadership" is a function of actions -- acting like a leader rather than something to do with position in a hierarchy?
