Remember folks, when doing your SD-card shuffles, [ -b /dev/sdX ] && ... so you don't create a file instead of writing your card.

@trini I've taken to using /dev/disk/by-id/... instead of /dev/sdX to make absolutely sure I'm getting exactly the device I think I am. More typing (tab complete is your friend), but safer.

@nivex That can be good too, yeah. I just got out of step in my SD shuffling and wrote /dev/sdc as a file before eject got mad it wasn't a block device.
